This film begins with the aviator Andre Juriex (Roland Toutain) landing at a French airport only to denounce Christine (Nora Gregor), his former lover, for not coming to meet him. Christine is already married to Robert (Marcel Dalio) and considers Andre’s continued affection merely charming. Robert, in the meantime, has been keeping his own mistress, Genevieve (Mila Parely). The action proceeds to a weekend getaway at Robert’s estate. The aristocrats become involved in romantic tangles both between themselves and the various servants and groundskeepers involved in the maintenance of the estate, leading to comic and tragic mistaken identity as the classes and cultures clash, and jealousy gives way to violence.
