"Reefer Madness", also known as "Tell Your Children", is a propaganda film that attempted to tell the dangers of using marijuana in a dramatic fashion. The film begins with Dr. Carroll (Joseph Forte) making a presentation at a PTA meeting about the dangers of marijuana. His narrative tells the tale of a couple, Mae Coleman (Thelma White) and Jack Perry (Carleton Young) who sell marijuana. Jack markets the drug to teenagers, inviting them to his apartment for marijuana cigarettes. Otherwise innocent high school students, including Mary Lane (Dorothy Short), Bill Harper (Kenneth Craig) and Jimmy Lane (Warren McCullom), become controlled by the drug in the film. The teenagers and others at the party become completely intoxicated, resulting in crimes that leave several characters murdered.
