“Diner” is a film about growing up and letting go as five friends, Edward Simmons (Steve Guttenberg), Laurence Schreiber (Daniel Stern), Robert Shefte (Mickey Rourke), Timothy Fenwick, Jr. (Kevin Bacon) and Billy Howard (Timothy Daly) who are all in their twenties and all spend their evenings in a diner. Now it’s Christmas, 1959, the dawning of a new age is fast approaching, as the sixties will be herald in with the approaching New Year. Now the five friends will have to learn to accept their responsibilities and let go of their golden moments and give up the comfort of their special diner.
