Things to Come is a film based on the popular writings of science fiction author H. G. Wells and prophesizes the future of civilization after a great world war. The war claims the lives of many individuals and those who survive it do not at all understand its need or presence. Sometime later a great plague arrives on Earth and decimates what is left of the human population and humanity waits half a century to rebuild. They do so by repopulating the Earth and living in enormous underground cities. Scientists begin to explore the possibility of space travel and as a trip to the moon looms, a revolution is staged and global warfare threatens to resume. |
