The movie revolves around Tom Sanders (Michael Douglas) who has got his promotion snatched by a new boss in his high tech company Digicom Corporation in Seattle. When he meets the new boss for his presentation to the client, he realizes that his new boss is actually Meredith Johnson (Demi Moore) who was his college time girlfriend. Meredith tries to remind him of their torrid affair and tries to convert the meeting into a seductive night. She seduces Tom to gain sexual pleasures and harasses him sexually. When Michael refuses to get involved, she gets furious and dejected. Furious Meredith decides to sue him for sexual harassment the next day and hence the movie takes a twist. Being a woman, Meredith gets the sympathy of the people and Tom finds it tough to prove that he was guilty.
