“Thief” is the story of Frank (James Caan) who is a highly skilled diamond thief. Frank has just been released from prison, it comes to his attention sometimes the simple things in life are best. It’s what everyone wants most, freedom, love and stability and Frank has the means to make all this happen. When he falls for an out of town girl, Jessie (Tuesday Weld), Frank joins up with the mob to help him realize his dream. Now he has it all and has never wanted for more until he decides enough is enough and suddenly everything around Frank falls apart as his businesses and love life are threatened by those who would keep him from the few things he wants in life. |
