“The Shining" is a mini series that follows a recovering alcoholic professor named Jack Torrance (Steven Weber). For the winter Jack takes a job as a seasonal caretaker for The Outlook Hotel in a secluded area of Colorado. Jack envisions an opportunity to be away; alone with his wife Wendy Torrance (Rebecca De Mornay) and son Danny Torrance (Courtland Mead) not to mention start and maybe finish a draft of the book he’s been talking about writing. However Danny has had his share of problems in the past but what Danny’s parents don’t realize is their son is sensitive to supernatural phenomenon, an ability called the Shinning. Danny keeps seeing the ghosts of the Outlook as his power awakens the dormant spirits and they begin to prey on the family through the body of Jack.
