Harry Mitchell (Roy Scheider) had an affair with sleazy model Cini (Kelly Preston), and nasty men want to blackmail him, or they will reveal the affair to his upstanding wife Barbara (Ann-Margaret). Harry declines to pay hush money and even tells Barbara the truth about his affair, and Alan Raimy (John Glover), lead blackmailer, and his cronies Leo Franks (Robert Trebor) and Bobby Sly (Clarence Williams III) decide to kill Cini and frame Harry for the crime, all while putting the murder on videotape. Then, they will blackmail him, this time for murder. Since there is no honor among bad guys, Harry sets them up to turn on each other, figuring they will do each in.
