The times are dark in the kingdom of Bruno the Questionable (Max Wall). At the darkest hour of the Dark Ages, the dreaded Jabberwock monster roams the land unchecked. With his eyes of flame, and his sharp talons, the Jabberwock is a bone-crushing monster with no one to stop him. A kingdom-wide search ensues for the bravest knight in the realm to take on and defeat the monster. At stake is the hand of the Princess. After several knights die trying, on the meek Dennis the Apprentice (Michael Palin) has the blind courage to take on the Jabberwock. Only one problem exists, however. Dennis cares not for the princess. He is a dolt and a fool who carries a potato as a charm and is in love with the fat Griselda (Annette Badland).
