The 1945 film "And Then There Were None" is an adaptation of an Agatha Christie novel. Ten seemingly random people find themselves together on an island. These include a secretary, and ex-governess Vera Claythorne (Judy Duprez), an adventurer Philip Lombard (Louis Hayward), and a retired police inspector, now a private investigator, William Henry Blore (Roland Young). As they inspect their quarters they find ten figurines on the dining room table and a copy of a common nursery rhyme framed in their room. Later they listen to a recording that accuses each person present of murder. From that point on, they begin to be murdered one by one, after each murder a figurine in the dinning room is found broken.
